Junior DevOps Engineer

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, your role is to work closely with our development team to streamline reliability, and enhance overall productivity. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a collaborative environment while contributing to the deployment, automation, and management of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipeline to automate the software delivery process
- Collaborate with development team to optimize code deployment and release cycles
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
- Implement and maintain system monitoring and alerting
- Research and develop tools to improve performance and operational efficiency
- Help development team establish and implement DevOps practice
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and scripting languages (e.g., Linux)
- Familiarity with SonarQube
- Familiarity with Network APIs
- Knowledge in Linux system administration
- Good to have: Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. ECS)
- Good to have: Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess at least an Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Needs to be proficient with the English language, both oral and written
- Good documentation skills to clearly write work process
- Logical and outstanding comprehension level
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong time-management skills and is able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development team
- Ability to work independently
- Must be willing to work in the Alabang, Muntinlupa area
